Formerly known as Queenstown, Pennington, New Jersey has roots that go all the way back to the Quaker settlement of the region. It is considered an individual municipality from Hopewell Township, which allows Pennington to retain a little bit more of its own local flavor.
The town celebrates its history and sense of community each year with Pennington Day. It’s a street event, typically held in May that often features local musicians as well as a parade. Area businesses also host street booths, with games, food, and prizes.
Commuters typically use the nearby connection to I-295 via route 31. New Jersey Transit also provides bus service to nearby Trenton.
